With reference to your letter No 1026 of yesterday's date, addressed to Mr Mitchell, stating that if before the end of the month I determine to go to England in terms of your letter No 993 of the 9th instant, His Excellency the Governor will recommend me to the Executive Council for six months' further leave on half salary, I do myself the honor to thank His Excellency for the promise of this favour.
